President Donald Trump sparred with Maine’s governor during an event at the White House over his threats to block federal dollars from the state until they bar transgender people from being allowed to compete in women’s sports.
“You better do it, because you’re not going to get any federal funding at all,” Trump said, directing his remark to Democratic Maine Governor Janet Mills, who was part of a group of governors from both parties visiting Washington.
