India’s private sector activity increased at the fastest pace in six months in February, as global demand for the South Asian nation’s goods and services improved, a flash survey by HSBC Holdings Plc showed.

The services purchasing managers’ index rose to 61.1 from 56.5 in January, while manufacturing purchasing managers’ index marginally declined to 57.1 in February from 57.7 in the previous month. The boost in services pushed the composite index to 60.6 from 57.7 in January.
