Tesla Prepares for India Market Entry With First EV Shipment

Tesla Inc. is set to ship a few thousand cars to a port near Mumbai in the coming months, according to people familiar with the matter, marking its long-awaited debut in India.
The US carmaker plans to start selling these cars in the three major cities of Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore around the third quarter of the year, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing private plans.
