Denmark’s Economy Expands as Defense Spending Set to Increase

Denmark’s drugmakers drove economic expansion in the fourth quarter, providing the growth needed to fund accelerated defense spending in the Nordic nation.

Gross domestic product rose 1.6% from the previous three months, Statistics Denmark said on Thursday in a preliminary reading. It’s the third consecutive quarter of expansion in Denmark, following a contraction earlier in the year.
