London house prices dropped when accounting for inflation in 2024, as the capital’s residential property market ground to a halt.

The average price of a home in London stagnated at £549,000 ($692,000) in December, the same level as a year earlier, according to figures published by the Office for National Statistics on Wednesday. In real terms, house prices in the capital lost 2.7% of their value year-on-year.
