Approval for President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva hit an all-time low as his administration became embroiled in crises and Brazilians grew frustrated with high food prices.
The number of Brazilians who view the Lula government as good fell to 24% in February, down from 35% in December, a survey by DataFolha published on Friday found. It was the lowest approval rating the pollster ever recorded during the president’s three terms. The share who say his administration is bad also rose to 41%, up from 34% — a record high.
