Ghana’s new administration has started talks with the International Monetary Fund to refine its $3 billion bailout program to address concerns over ambitious revenue targets, President John Mahama said in an interview.
“We were not at the table when this agreement was drawn up,” Mahama told Bloomberg Television’s Jennifer Zabasajja on Friday. “It’s necessary for us to look at the whole tax angle, rationalize them, make them more transparent,” he said from the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
