UK Tells Antitrust Agency to Allow More Risk in Growth Push

The UK government said Britain’s antitrust watchdog should be “less risk averse,” as it continues to put pressure on the country’s regulators to help spur economic growth.

Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds will give a speech Thursday where he’ll say the Competition and Markets Authority should be focused on creating an “agile, more competitive business environment with less burdensome regulation,” according to a statement from the Department for Business and Trade.
