Satellite manufacturer K2 Space raised $110 million in a Series B funding round to ramp up production of its high-power satellites following the company’s first successful test flight of the spacecraft.
K2 Space, based in Los Angeles, aims to create large and powerful satellites that are faster and less expensive to make than current models. Producing larger satellites with more energy means they can move through and withstand the conditions of different orbits, carrying heavier payloads and beaming more data down to Earth, according to the company.
