Inflation data came in higher than expected in January, driven by price gains across a broad range of goods and services.

Some items, like prescription drugs and parking fees, experienced the largest monthly gains on record in Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Insurance and eggs saw the biggest price increases in about a decade.
