Novo Nordisk A/S’s Ozempic helped reduce alcohol cravings in a small study, more evidence that the popular injections may help people cut down on drinking.

Adults with alcohol use disorder who received weekly low doses of Ozempic had significantly fewer weekly cravings for alcohol than those who got a placebo, researchers said Wednesday in the medical journal JAMA Psychiatry. Those who took the drug also drank heavily on fewer days.
