Ukrainian lawmakers approved a bill to complete two additional reactors at the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant in the country’s west, paving the way for their purchase from Bulgaria to be finalized.

The move follows a call from President Volodymyr Zelenskiy last week to approve the deal as more than half of the country’s generation capacity has been damaged by Russian missile and drone barrages.
