Philippines Nickel Ore Output Seen Rising on Indonesian Demand

The Philippines’ nickel ore output is expected to recover this year, supported by increased appetite from Indonesia and steady demand from top market China, according to the head of an industry group.
The industry is seeing higher demand from Indonesia where nickel smelters are facing a shortage of ore due to government licensing issues, Dante Bravo, president of the Philippine Nickel Industry Association, said in a briefing on Tuesday.
