Mayor Adams Seeks New Yorkers’ Trust After ‘Cruel Episode’

Mayor Eric Adams said he would work to regain the trust of New Yorkers as he faced attacks from political rivals after the Trump administration directed prosecutors to drop their corruption charges against him.
In an address from City Hall Tuesday, Adams said it was time to “put this cruel episode behind us.” He reiterated that he never broke the law or lost sight of his stewardship of the biggest US city in the months since his September indictment.
