US President Donald Trump said Israel should call off its ceasefire with Hamas if hostages aren’t returned this weekend, raising concerns over the durability of the six-week truce in Gaza, while also wielding threats to cut off aid in a bid to get Egypt and Jordan to accept Palestinian refugees.
“If all the hostages aren’t returned by Saturday 12 o’clock — I think it’s an appropriate time — I would say cancel it and all bets are off and let hell break out,” Trump said.
