Europe’s Major AI Startups, Mistral and Helsing, Form Pact to Work on Defense

Mistral and Helsing, two of Europe’s most valuable startups, are partnering to apply artificial intelligence technology to warfare.

The companies announced the partnership on Monday at the start of an AI summit in Paris. In a statement, the startups said they will use computer vision to help defense systems “understand their environment, communicate naturally with operators, and allow for faster, more reliable decisions in complex scenarios.”
