Kim Jong Un reiterated North Korea’s policy of developing its nuclear forces, saying he would bolster deterrence, as the nation marked the anniversary of the Korean People’s Army.
The North Korean leader blamed the military partnership between the US, Japan and South Korea, and their nuclear war simulation exercises, for causing conflict and raising a grave challenge to the security of his country. Kim made the remarks in a speech to the Ministry of Defense on Saturday at an event celebrating the 77th anniversary of the Korean People’s Army.
