Peruvian and US authorities arrested as many as 20 members of the Tren de Aragua gang in Lima in an effort to dismantle a human trafficking network as US President Donald Trump cracks down on groups that smuggle in illegal migrants.

Peruvian national police and US authorities deployed as many as 300 officials in the joint operation across eight locations around Lima late Friday, according to a statement from the US embassy in Lima. The sting resulted in the rescue of as many as 84 victims, including two minors, according to the statement, which didn’t offer details on their nationalities.
