Two lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee plan to introduce a bill Thursday to prohibit the use of DeepSeek’s chatbot application on US government-issued devices, citing concern its code is linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

The bill’s sponsors, one a Republican and the other a Democrat, say Americans are sharing highly sensitive, proprietary information with DeepSeek — including contracts, documents, and financial records, putting it at risk of being accessed by China.
