Russia’s Gazprom PJSC started sending gas to Slovakia through the TurkStream pipeline, easing some supply concerns a month after flows via Ukraine were cut off.
Russian gas reached the country Feb. 1, Vojtech Ferencz, chief executive officer of state utility Slovensky Plynarensky Priemysel AS, said in Bratislava, without specifying volumes. Supplies will double starting in April, he said. That month, pipe capacity between Hungary and Slovakia is set to increase, boosting flows.
