The Trump administration launched reviews of multiple top US universities and medical schools over incidents of antisemitism on their campuses, days after the White House said it would tie federal funding to compliance with its orders.

The Department of Education said on Monday that Columbia, Northwestern and three other universities face new federal probes in response to complaints about antisemitism in the wake of Hamas’ attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. The other schools include the University of California, Berkeley, Portland State University and The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
