Peru Inflation Cools in January, Remaining on Target

Inflation in Peru’s capital Lima cooled in January compared to the previous month, remaining within the central bank’s target range.
Monthly inflation in Lima fell 0.09% in January compared to December, according to data published by national statistics agency INEI on Saturday. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expected prices to rise just 0.04%. On an annual basis, prices rose 1.85% compared to a year earlier.
