Authorities in northern Norway released a vessel that was suspected of the latest data cable breach in the Baltic Sea, saying no evidence had been found linking it to the incident.

The vessel Silver Dania, en route between the Russian ports of St. Petersburg and Murmansk, was detained on Thursday on suspicion that it had damaged a cable between Sweden and Latvia on Sunday. Swedish authorities have detained another vessel, a bulk carrier called Vezhen, on the same suspicion.
