Gary Wojtaszek built data-center company CyrusOne into a powerhouse, then sold it to KKR & Co. and Global Infrastructure Partners in a deal valued at about $15 billion. Now, he’s seeking $500 million for another kind of bet.

His new company, RecNation, has tapped Goldman Sachs Group Inc. as a financial adviser to help it raise equity for a new joint venture that will acquire facilities to store RVs, boats and other vehicles, Wojtaszek said in an interview.
