Volvo Sees Rising Truck Orders in Europe After Tough Year

Volvo AB secured more truck orders in Europe and North America in the fourth quarter, fueling confidence that it can improve earnings this year.

Global net order intake jumped by around a quarter to 61,200 vehicles, mainly driven by larger fleets in Eastern Europe and demand for construction trucks in the US, Volvo said Wednesday. The shares rose as much as 7.2% in Stockholm.
