Top EU, US Diplomats Discuss Pressing Russia Over War in Ukraine

The European Union’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio agreed on the need to keep maximum pressure on Russia to move toward a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine, according to an EU official familiar with the phone conversation.
Kallas and Rubio also talked about strengthening EU-US cooperation, shared foreign policy priorities and challenges posed by China, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
