TikTok Joins Tech Firms Establishing a Presence in Zurich

TikTok Inc. has set up a subsidiary in Zurich, following tech firms including OpenAI and Anthropic that have recently expanded into Switzerland to tap local talent.
The social media platform, which is owned by Chinese ByteDance Ltd., was registered in the Canton of Zurich last week, records show. The entity is a subsidiary of TikTok’s UK arm and is managed by Thomas Wlazik, General Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Israel, according to the register.
