The European Union agreed to reactivate its border assistance mission at the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, Kaja Kallas, the bloc’s top diplomat, said Monday.

“This will allow a number of injured individuals to leave Gaza and receive medical care,” she wrote in a post on X. The aim is to reestablish the EU presence by Feb. 1, according to people familiar with the matter.
