Taiwan’s economy grew at the fastest pace in three years in 2024, spurred by tech exports riding the AI boom — though the outlook for this year is clouded by President Donald Trump’s tariff threats.

Gross domestic product expanded 4.3% on-year, the statistics bureau said in a statement Friday. That matched the median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of economists.
