BYD to Debut Electric Crossover in Japan as Sales Network Grows

BYD Co. is introducing its fourth electric model — the Sealion 7 crossover — in Japan as it slowly gains ground in a market where battery-powered cars are still vastly outnumbered by homegrown hybrids and gas guzzlers.

The Sealion 7 will start selling in Japan in April, the Chinese automaker said Friday.
