Slovak President Peter Pellegrini said there’s no need to declare a state of emergency even after the premier suggested some groups had attempted to organize a “coup.”

While some preventive measures will have to be put in place, the nation won’t ban peaceful protests even if there are individuals financed from abroad who seek to escalate the situation, Pellegrini told reporters in Bratislava, the Slovak capital.
