German, French Front-Month Power Jumps as Cold Weather Forecast

German and French power prices for February spiked with some weather models forecasting colder weather for that period.

German front-month future rose by 5.5% to €112.9 per megawatt-hour, while the French equivalent jumped by 5.2% to €102.3 per megawatt-hour, according to data from EEX.
