Sixth Street Plans More Women’s Soccer Investments After Bay FC
- Kay Cossington leaves English FA to lead new Bay Collective

Photographer: Katharine Lotze/Getty ImagesThe financial backers of Bay FC, the National Women’s Soccer League expansion team in California, plan to ramp up their interests in the sport via a multi-club investment group due to launch this year.
Sixth Street, which set up Bay FC with ex-Meta Platforms Inc. executive Sheryl Sandberg and former US women’s soccer team stars in 2023, said Friday its new Bay Collective will “invest in premier women’s football clubs across the globe.” It will be led by Kay Cossington, who will leave her post as women’s technical director of the English Football Association at the end of May.
