South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol asked a Seoul court to review his detention on Thursday as he refused to attend fresh questioning by investigators over his failed martial law declaration.

Yoon’s legal team filed a request to the Seoul Central District Court to examine the legitimacy of the president’s arrest, said Seok Dong-hyeon, one of his representatives. The court began to review the case at 5 p.m. local time.
