Russian Fuel Exports Jumped Before US Imposed New Sanctions
- Flows hit 11-month high on diesel/gasoil and fuel-oil exports

Russia’s refined-fuel exports headed for an 11-month high before the US slapped fresh sanctions on the country’s energy sector last week, with no sign so far that the restrictions have impacted oil-product flows.
Seaborne shipments of petroleum products totaled 2.5 million barrels a day in the first 10 days of January, according to data compiled by Bloomberg from analytics firm Vortexa Ltd. That’s up 12% from the daily average for all of last month and would be the highest since February.
