Officials in Poland and Israel protested US measures announced this week that will limit their access to advanced artificial intelligence chips manufactured by Nvidia Corp. and its peers.

The White House’s decision is “incomprehensible and is not based on any substantive reasons,” Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski said on X. He appealed to Poland’s Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and EU tech chief Henna Virkkunen to address the issue.
