JD Sports Lowers Guidance Citing Waning Sportswear Demand

JD Sports Fashion Plc lowered its guidance for this fiscal year as demand for athletic clothing in key markets weakened.

The British retailer said Tuesday it now expects pretax profit and adjusting items of between £915 million ($1.1 billion) and £935 million, down from at least £955 million.
