ECB’s Rehn Sees Interest Rates at Neutral by Mid-2025

European Central Bank Governing Council member Olli Rehn expects euro-zone interest rates to reach a level that no longer restricts economic activity by mid-2025.
“In light of the current economic outlook and our reaction functions, I would assume that our monetary policy will leave restrictive territory in the coming months, at the latest by midsummer,” the Finnish central-bank governor said Tuesday in Hong Kong, echoing earlier comments in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
