LA Faces High Winds and No Sign of Rain After Week of Flames

Southern California residents are facing another day of tinderbox conditions after an exhausting week of wildfires, evacuations, blackouts and school closures, as returning Santa Ana winds threaten to fan flames across the region.
Parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties will continue to see “extreme fire danger” through at least Wednesday afternoon local time, though conditions may improve somewhat on Thursday as winds begin to shift, the National Weather Service said in a notice.
