Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to run the Pentagon, earned more than $6 million over the last two years thanks to income as a Fox News host, book royalties and speaking fees, according to his financial disclosure statement.

Hegseth’s disclosure form, released Monday by the federal Office of Government Ethics, doesn’t indicate any direct ties to defense companies. That’s in contrast to several predecessors in the job he’s seeking including current Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin as well as Mark Esper and James Mattis.
