Gazprom Considers Cutting HQ Workforce, Regional Media Reports

Russian gas giant Gazprom PJSC is considering a plan to cut the headcount at its central office by almost 40% to trim expenses and accelerate decision-making, according to 47news.

Gazprom needs to reduce numbers at its St. Petersburg headquarters to about 2,500 from more than 4,100 now, Deputy Chief Executive Oficer Elena Ilyukhina said in a Dec. 23 letter to Chief Executive Officer Alexey Miller, according to the online publication.
