More than one million supporters of Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte rallied in the capital on Monday, a show of force that may pressure lawmakers to reject impeachment complaints against her.

Iglesia ni Cristo members, wearing white shirts, held a “rally for peace” on Monday amid a deepening feud between Duterte and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Nearly 1.6 million people filled the historic Quirino Grandstand in Manila City and nearby streets, according to the police.
