The Trump Organization is in early talks to reacquire its former Washington hotel, which became a flash point for critics who said that Donald Trump mixed his business and political interests while president.

Eric Trump met this week with BDT & MSD, which now owns the hotel’s lease, according to a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be named discussing a private matter. Talks are preliminary, but any deal would likely value the hotel at at least $300 million, the person said.
