Disney Says 157 Million Viewers Seeing Ads on Streaming Services

Walt Disney Co.’s ad-supported tiers helped the entertainment company achieve profitability.

Walt Disney Co., reporting on its ad-supported streaming services, said the number of active monthly users reached 157 million, including 112 million in the US and Canada.

The numbers represent users across the Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ platforms and reflect an average over the past six months. The company defines them as people who have watched ad-supported content continuously for more than 10 seconds and it estimates 2.6 people use each streaming subscription.
