- Eric Trappier replaces Edelstenne at holding company GIMD
- Move shows descendents remain removed from operational control
France’s billionaire Dassault family said Eric Trappier is taking over as chairman of its Groupe Industriel Marcel Dassault SAS holding from Jan. 9, replacing Charles Edelstenne.
Trappier, chief executive officer of Dassault Aviation SA, is taking the position in addition to his current duties, according to a statement on Wednesday. The family had said in February last year that it was planning to elevate him.
