Digital Edge DC, a company backed by private equity fund Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, has secured $1 billion in debt to fund its data center expansion across Asia, according to a company press release on Monday.
While the release didn’t give further details, the debt comprises two loans of roughly equal size to fund the expansion of the firm’s data center campuses in India and South Korea, according to a person familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified as the matter is private. Both facilities carry tenors of between five to seven years, the person added.
