Tencent and Honor Forge Wide-Ranging Partnership on AI and Cloud

Tencent Holdings Ltd. and Honor Device Co. will engage in a long-term strategic cooperation on cloud and artificial intelligence development, according to a statement on Friday.

China’s most valuable company will help Shenzhen neighbor Honor with its Tencent Cloud infrastructure, which will provide the backbone of Honor’s online services. The smartphone maker, which spun out from Huawei Technologies Co. in 2020, is moving toward a public listing and this year sold stakes to China Mobile Ltd. and China Telecom Corp. in an expansion of its corporate partnerships.
