India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman called the country’s softer expansion in the last quarter a “temporary blip,” adding that growth is expected to bounce back in the coming months.

The July-September period has been a “challenging quarter for India and for most other economies of the world,” Sitharaman told lawmakers in parliament on Tuesday. “Let us not pick on” the recent drop and “predict future,” she said.
