Enagas SA, Europe’s largest LNG terminals operator, is ready to surpass its record exports in the aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine should the end of a key gas transit deal create the need for it.

“We’ve done it in the recent past, and we can do it again,” said Chief Executive Officer Arturo Gonzalo in an interview in Madrid. The Spanish energy company is capable of sending “even more” of the fuel to its neighbors through pipeline and re-exports of liquefied natural gas than it did in 2022 and 2023, he added.
