President-elect Donald Trump said he didn’t expect Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to appoint his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, to replace Marco Rubio, his nominee as Secretary of State, to represent the state in the US Senate.

“No, I don’t,” Trump said during a press conference Monday in Florida, adding that his daughter-in-law had opportunities for a television contract and that “her predominant thought is our country and her family.”
